About Dana

Dana Heidner-Krueger found her voice as a child growing up in Bonn and Cologne. The six year old used to practice in front of the mirror for hours, speaking into an imaginary microphone. That game was a sign of things to come.

Dana’s career took off, almost by accident, when she started doing voice-overs at 21, announcing movie listings via telephone at a private radio station in Nuremberg. It was supposed to be a one-time gig for a local box office, but the program director liked her voice so much he suggested she gets into radio. Following his advice, Dana said goodbye to her party-girl ways, went to a school for broadcast journalists, and, upon graduating summa cum laude, became an anchor at the radio station where she had first received the good advice.

Since moving to the U.S. nine years ago, Dana has been busy lending her standard German voice to a wide cross-section of industries, including global companies like Cisco and BMW; Yellowstone National Park; and Reebok; she directs voice-talents and manages large voice-over projects: “Every client has his unique message. Delivering just the right intonation and style requires a good ear, intuition, and the ability to give each project a voice that is just perfect for its target group. It is a very versatile field; it never gets boring.”

Dana loves her profession: “You can bring all the different personalities inside of you to the forefront. I love using my skills and making sure my clients achieve their goals. There is nothing more rewarding; not only for myself, but for everyone involved.”
